Oak Grove Golf Group


Established by Tom Royer in 1983 with the idea of playing friendly competitive golf on a weekly basis. We play tournament style golf every Wednesday - 52 weeks / year.

Our Home Course is Diamond Oaks. Our normal start time is 9:00 a.m. Currently we have 90 members. In 2018 in addition to our home course, we will be playing tournaments at: Timber Creek, Cherry Island, Empire Ranch, Ancil Hoffman, River Oaks, Wild Horse (Davis), Auburn Valley, Morgan Creek, Lincoln Hills, Teal Bend, Turkey Creek & Woodcreek.

We play “medal” play most weeks with “Best Ball”, “Lone Ranger” “Match Play” and “Scramble” formats sprinkled in throughout the year. We play a club championship every September at Diamond Oaks. To play in our championship you will need to have played a minimum of 10 rounds with us during the membership year (December – End of November).


Our Members compete for small dollar prizes ($5 - $10) every week. The winnings go in your name as a credit to the Diamond Oaks & Woodcreek Pro Shops for purchases there. Come play with us and enjoy the warmth, friendship and comradery of a well-established golf club.


We are open to men and women, all golfers over the age of 18 and all skill levels. You can join directly – or if you prefer to play a few rounds with us before you decide, you are welcome to do so. Here is what you need to know: Annual Membership Fees are $25.00. A new member also pays a onetime $5.00 initiation fee. Our “New Member” application is a tab on the right at the top of this page. Print it out, complete and mail it to the address shown or bring it to us with your fees.


We belong to the NCGA and you can maintain your membership there through our club with an additional annual fee of: $36.00 ($41.00 for the first year if you are new to the NCGA). You don’t need to belong to the NCGA to play with us – after three rounds we will give you a “club” handicap. You can buy “hole-in-One” insurance through our club ($3.00 / year) or not.


To play with us you pay your own Green Fees (& cart fees if you ride) and then a $5.00 “Tournament Fee” to our tournament director. Still have questions? Call us:
